Is the doTERRA I buy from VoniaStore original?
Recently, several customers have asked why certain doTERRA products may show small differences compared with a previous purchase, or why some LOT or item numbers cannot be found on the Source To You page.
We would like to explain transparently how the doTERRA quality-control system works and that our online store sells only original doTERRA products.

As an official doTERRA reseller, we sell only original products
The doTERRA products available from us come from official sourcing channels, arrive in factory-sealed packaging, have an original LOT/batch identifier, and comply with doTERRA European distribution requirements.
Authenticity and customer trust are especially important to us, so we sell only products with verified origin.
Why can Source To You show “not found”?
To clarify this question, we contacted doTERRA customer service directly.
According to doTERRA, the Source To You database is not yet complete. Therefore, the LOT or item number of some original products, especially products made for the European market, may not yet appear in the system.
The system may display “not found” or “invalid code” while new GC reports are still being uploaded. This points to the current limitations of the database, not to a lack of authenticity.
If you notice a change in scent, performance, or packaging
Essential oils are natural plant extracts, so minor natural differences may occur between production batches. Weather, growing area, harvest year, rainfall, harvest time, and distillation conditions can all influence the composition of the plants.
Because of this, slight differences may appear in scent intensity, colour shade, oil density, or perceived strength. doTERRA may also change small packaging, label, cap, or production-marking details because of different markets, production sites, or regulatory requirements.
These changes alone do not indicate that the product is not original.
Why are not all ingredients and exact ratios public?
Some doTERRA products, especially essential-oil blends, are protected formulas. The complete chemical composition is not always public, and a full GC report is not available for every product, although test results for the main component oils are often available.
This is a generally accepted practice in aromatherapy and the essential-oil industry.
What is a GC report?
GC (Gas Chromatography) is a laboratory testing method that analyses the composition and purity of essential oils. It helps identify components, verify purity, and screen for possible contamination or adulteration.
Overall, Source To You is a very useful page, but for the European market it contains only information that has already been uploaded to the database. This usually applies to single oils and not to all oil blends.
Most batch numbers consist of six digits followed by a letter (YYJJJBC). The first two digits indicate the year, the next three indicate the production day according to the Julian calendar, the sixth digit indicates the daily batch or bottling date, and the letter identifies the market for which the oil was produced.
